In today’s dynamic business landscape, effective leadership is paramount for organizational success. This presentation outlines the importance of using data-driven insights to build and equip leaders that can deliver the organisational strategy. It will explore Shell’s approach to insights-driven leadership and how we gather and use data for and about leaders to enable leadership effectiveness and the attainment of business outcomes. Further, we’ll share some of our key findings and learnings that we’ve taken into our leadership approach and practices.

Caroline is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist and Registered Qualified Test User (Occupational, Ability and Personality) with over 15 years of comprehensive experience in all aspects of workforce development and talent management. Specialised in providing assessment and development solutions at all employee levels, both psychometric and competency based. Her career history includes consulting engagements across a variety of sectors as well as permanent employment in banking.
Core areas of competence lie in people assessment, feedback and development interventions as well as assessment and selection strategy formulation and assessment centre design and validation. She has also conducted large scale skills-audits and change management projects along with organisational diagnosis, design and development. Caroline is an executive coach and an experienced writer and presenter, having additional experience in lecturing, journalism and sub-editing.
