In 2015, Dr. Christian Schmeichel was appointed Chief Operating Officer for Human Resources at SAP SE. In this role, he is responsible for the strategic and operational steering of the software group's global human resource function serving SAP’s workforce with over 90,000 employees worldwide. Since having joined SAP in 2005, Christian Schmeichel held various global and local management positions at SAP such as Vice President, Head of HR Strategy, Programs and Processes or Vice President, Head of HR at SAP’s subsidiary in Japan based in Tokyo. Before joining SAP, Dr. Schmeichel worked for several years as a strategy consultant. He is considered an acknowledged expert on successfully driving global transformation programs in the age of digitization.
